The President, in sole discretion, may select annually a member or former member of the Corporation for acknowledgement respecting exemplary and outstanding service and performance on behalf of the Corporation. The individual chosen in 2003 by CSIS, Inc. President, Graham Ospreay FACFE ISA, to receive this award is Robert Marentette.

Bob has been a member of CSIS, Inc. for over 15 years and has been an active member at all levels of the organization. He has participated at the Chapter, Regional and National levels. As a member and most recently National Executive Director, Bob has tirelessly worked to promote the Society and security professionalism. He has worked under some tough circumstances to keep the Society active and moving forward by organizing local and national events such as the 2003 National Conference. Bob is not only an asset to the Society but a friend also. Bob has recently moved to British Columbia and remains on the National Board as Compliance Officer.

For these and many other reasons Bob was awarded the 2003 President’s Award which read as follows:

Lifetime membership is awarded to individual members of the Society who, at a minimum, have met the following criteria:

• minimum of 10 continuous years of membership
• has made substantial contributions to the advancement of the Society in terms of time, effort and commitment
• has provided extraordinary and continuous service in the advancement of the security profession
• served in an executive capacity at the Regional or National level for a minimum of 3 terms

Once again, Bob has not only met but exceeded all of these requirements in such a way that made him an excellent and deserving choice to receive the honour of lifetime membership.
